  • Public school-based services and private services follow different models. Public schools use eligibility guidelines from local, state and federal bodies.

Private therapy services are based on medical necessity, as determined by your child’s evaluation.

  • This depends on your child’s unique needs; however, in many cases, supplementing school-based services with private therapy is very beneficial. School-based services are determined by an IEP in order to help your child access the curriculum and reduce academic impact while keeping them in their least restrictive environment.

Private services can supplement what is offered in the school setting.

Bright Paths Therapy also frequently helps children that do not meet the strict eligibility criteria to qualify for school-based services in the state of SD. Bright Paths was born out of this gap, particularly with the preschool age group.

  • Bright Paths Therapy can accept some insurance plans and is actively working to meet the needs of our patients. Please contact us to discuss your options further. For any patients not covered under insurance, we accept private payment.
